HYDROFLO 2 for Windows

HYDROFLO 2 is a tool for the design and analysis of fluid conveyance systems that consist of a single source and a single discharge and up to 10 parallel lines. Up to 10 pumps in series or parallel may be modeled. HYDROFLO 2 allows a designer to "drag and drop" pipes, pumps, fittings and valves into a design. It features a unique vertical elevation work area. Pump stations, gravity flow, forced flow and recirculating systems can be solved for their steady-state pressures and flows. To select the best pumps for your application, HYDROFLO 2 can launch PumpBase and transfer operating point, project information and liquid property data with a single click. Each copy of a Hydroflo software license includes a free PumpBase software License, as well.

Results -

  • Pressures, hydraulic grade lines (HGL) and flows at all nodes.

The entire design is plotted on a vertical hydraulic grade line elevation layout and can be printed. Graphics of total static head (TSH) line and pump, system, FVH and NPSHR curves are available on screen and for printing. Alternate pump speeds can be plotted along with a pump's actual performance curve.


Databases -

  • The liquid property database offers an extensive list of liquid properties. Properties include a description, temperature, specific gravity, viscosity and vapor pressure. Custom liquid properties can be added.
     
  • The units database offers commonly used English and metric units. Use any mix of flow, pressure, length and diameter units.
     
  • To select the best pumps for your application, PumpBase can be automatically launched and sent operating point, project information and liquid property data.
     
  • The pipe specification database offers commonly used pipe schedules with nominal and internal diameters and friction factors.  When a specification is selected, the proper inside diameter and design friction values are used as defaults.
