Software Releases On One CD

The US Army Corps of Engineers Hydrologic Engineering Center Programs have become the industry standard for hydrology and hydraulics computation in the United States. As an Authorized Corps of Engineers HEC Vendor, WRCS has combined all of the most frequently used Corps of Engineers Hydrologic Engineering Center Programs onto one CD:

  • HEC-RAS: River Analysis System

  • HEC-HMS: Hydrologic Modeling System

  • HEC-ResSim: Reservoir System Simulation

  • HEC-DSSVue and DSS Utilities: Hydrographic Data Storage and Viewing Systems

  • HEC-1: Flood Hydrograph Package

  • HEC-2: Water Surface Profiles

  • HEC-5: Simulation of Flood Control and Conservation Systems

  • HEC-6: Scour and Deposition in Rivers and Reservoirs

  • UNET: One Dimensional Unsteady Flow Through A Full Network of Open Channels

  • FFA: Flood Frequency Analysis

HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-ResSim and HEC-DSSVue are state-of-the-art Windows applications that come with extensive online PDF Users Manual Help systems. HEC-1, -2, -5, -6, UNET and FFA are stand alone DOS applications that come with the Corps' COED Editor and its context sensitive popup Help system.  This CD has all of these Corps programs with complete documentation in PDF format and includes the Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing and printing of the Users manuals.

HEC-Works, 10 HEC Program Packages in all, is only available from WRCS and for a price of only $95.

See our HEC Programs page for a description of each of these programs individual capabilities.

The WRCS H & H Software Suite

24 Hydrology and Hydraulics Software Programs on One CD

WRCS has collected over two dozen software program packages that represent a wide cross-section of  commonly used hydrologic and hydraulic modeling utilities developed for various applications in water resources engineering. These programs, along with all of their documentation files, are on this CD:

  • HYDROLOGY: ANNIE,  HEC-DSS (including the new DSS Vue Program), HSPF, HYDRAIN, HYSEP, PeakFQ, SITES, SMADA, SWMM44, SWSTAT, TR-20, and TR-55.

  • HYDRAULICS: CAP, CHAMP, CHECK-RAS, FAN, Flo2DH, HY-8 Culverts, Quick-2, RASPLOT, RUNUP, WHAFIS, WRAS, and WSPRO.

This CD library collection is available on one CD for only $45. For a more detailed description of each program, go to our WRCS Hydrology & Hydraulics Software Suite web page.

Riprap 3 for Windows
by West Consultants

State-of-the-art Stream Bank Protection Modeling Program

The RIPRAP Design System is a powerful stream bank protection design software package. The RIPRAP Design System determines sizing, layer thickness and gradation of rock riprap to protect streams from scour utilizing seven different methods:

  • US Army Corps of Engineers (Engineer Manual 1110-2-1601)

  • Federal Highway Administration (Hydraulic Engineering Circular No. 11)

  • U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (Engineering Monograph No. 25)

  • U.S. Geological Survey (Water Resources Investigation Report 86-4127)

  • California Bank and Shore Protection Manual

  • Isbash (from USACOE Engineer Manual 1110-2-1601)

  • American Society of Civil Engineers (Manual 54)

Simple single execution window allows the user to quickly compare results.

Streambank Protection Design just doesn't get any easier than this!

See our Riprap Design System web pages for details.

HYDROFLO 2 for Windows
by Tahoe Design Software

Pump and Distribution System Analysis
 Made Easy

HYDROFLO 2 is a tool for the design and analysis of fluid conveyance systems that consist of a single source and a single discharge and up to 10 parallel lines (500 pipes). Up to 10 pumps in series or parallel may be modeled. Hazen-Williams and Darcy-Wiesbach Equations Analysis  can be conducted for Any Fluid System. HYDROFLO 2 allows a designer to "drag and drop" pipes, pumps, fittings and valves into a design. It features a unique vertical elevation work area. Pump stations, gravity flow, forced flow and recirculating systems can be solved for their steady-state pressures and flows.

To select the best pumps for your application, HYDROFLO 2 can launch PumpBase and transfer operating point, project information and liquid property data with a single click. Each copy of a Hydroflo software license includes a free PumpBase software License, as well.

A 15-day full version of HYDROFLO 2 is available for download to illustrate it's capabilities. For more information on the Hydroflo 2 program, go to our Hydroflo web page.
